Tara Cook
Tara joined SAS in June 2013 as a Regional HR Director for North Asia, her role has evolved ever since, she is now Sr. HR Director overseeing and supporting 3 large business units within the company across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific.
A seasoned HR professional with 20-plus years of HR experience in both local and regional management, Tara started her HR career in Retail industry and further gained her extensive experience and significant achievement in full functional Human Resources Management through working in industries of Trading, Manufacturing, Logistics & Medical Devices prior joining SAS Institute Ltd (Data Analytic Software). During her career path, Tara demonstrated strategic and yet hands-on business management acumen, solid planning & organization skills in applying the right strategies and HR practices to support company growth; Tara also experienced company setting-up, restructurings, rebuilds, and acted as a true business partner for business and motivated different teams effectively cross organizationally and multi-culturally.
Having her Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MBA with HR focus, Tara is also a certified coach. In addition to Chinese (both Mandarin and Cantonese), Tara is fluent in English, Japanese.
